Currently occupying a permanent spot in the sideboard of any blue deck I play. Great for stopping 1st turn Duress/Inquisition of Kozilek or Kuldotha Rebirth. Also allows you to play a comes in tapped land (Halimar depths, usually) on second turn and still have some hope of countering something on your opponent's second/third turn. 4/5, -1 for the non-creature part (but it would probably be too strong without it).

WAY better outside of standard. A one-mana counterspell that shuts down Hypergenesis in (old) extended and countless things in Legacy.

On the 3rd turn, the opponent tries to Sadistic Sacrament you. "Oh, yeah? try paying an extra 2 for it!"! >:3

A new, cheap and playable counterspell? What the hell? I thought you hate blue, Wizards, so how did THIS happen? lol. Reprint Mana Leak and I might just forgive you for your recent decimation of blue. Anyway, this spell is certainly a step in the right direction. 5/5

One mana counter spells are always fairly strong, even if they are limited and conditional.

It's sort of too bad that the best counterspell in Standard - yes, this is absolutely the best counterspell in Standard - is so conditional, but this is a totally solid card regardless.

it's fun to use simply to drain the opponents mana on him. i also love it's potential to shut down Harrow
