@EpicBroccoli : Um...no. Look at Ichorclaw Myr again. He only gets +2/+2 when he is blocked, not unblocked. So his power will not be 3 if he gets through to hit a player. It would only be 6 damage to a creature blocking him, which in and of itself is good since that blocking creature would be marked with six -1/-1 counters.

And despite how ridiculously vampire this is, it's still not tribal. I don't really get why they're so afraid to print tribal outside of Lorwyn block. At least the Eldrazi had a few, I guess.

More relevantly, let's talk about the card- It's a solely offensive giant growth (which you could, in theory, kick). Which isn't great. However, since pump cards aren't exactly Black's thing, I give this card a 3.75, rounded to 3.5

A pump spell where they least expect it. I'm suprised black gets a whole +3 power for one mana. I'd figure they'd pay two for it and probably get some miscellaneous extra to go with the effect.
And everybody thought that because my poison deck didn't have green they wouldn't have to worry about pump spells.
