@Muffin_Minister: But aren't you pretty much screwed if your opponent just terminates the hellion? You know it doesn't go back to your library if it's in the graveyard at end of turn, right?

A very fun card. A quick 7 damage. I've won a fair share of games when my opponent has either had to waste a spell on this then be unable to answer a better spell, or they thought of stopping the other spell and had this to reckon with. And if they don't waste a spell, they either take a lot of damage and/or lost a creature(s). Either way, you win, not to mention they have the dread of not knowing when it would pop up again! That fear can make them be a bit more conservative, giving you a chance for more aggression. I think it's fun. Imagine it with Mighty Emergence!

this card is amazing in a {G}{R} deck. If you're running 2 or 3 it can keep popping up, especially if you you have a ton of mana accel. Also, in a {G}{R} deck this is way better than Ball Lightning because it only requires a commitment of one mana of each color.

It's not Ball Lightning, but this one gets past 1/1 first-strikers and lightning bolt, can be reasonably played in a deck that isn't mono-red, and can recur.
Easier cost to pay in multicolor, and your chances of drawing one tend to only increase as the game goes on.
Ball Lightning is more efficient, certainly, but not everyone can be running Ball Lightning, and sometimes you just like your guys huge.

Dropping this hellion always made my matches a wee bit more fun. Though it's unlikely you'll see the same copy twice in one match, I suppose you could always Diabolic Tutor him after he bounces back into your deck. All in all, a great card that has won me its fair share of matches.

Fun on a bun with Green Sun's Zenith: Run four of each for eight cards that each pull a 7/7 trampling hasty beatstick out immediately, then disappear back into your library for redrawing!
