Weirdly enough, the "counts as a red card and a green card" text has been removed from the main page, but not the search results.

At the time this guy came out, he was on par with the other options. Compare to Goblin Hero from the same set. He was the cheapest goblin who was tougher than a 1/1 at the time, which made him one of the few that could survive when an opponent took out your Goblin Shrine. Also, if you had Goblin Wizard, then the green mana requirement was not an issue.
But the best thing about this guy, hands down, is the art! Perfectly captures the splash of green flavor with the braids and talismans in the hair, piercings, and war paint. The Dark had some of the best goblin art, before they all had to look the exact same in every single expansion.

I think this is the first goblin "Bear" that had "no" drawback.
If you had revised duals in your mono-red goblin deck back in the day it was probably just for this guy.

@ultratog... no, it's not. There's a lot more combo potential for a goblin than there is for a bear.
The idea of the "Strictly worse than" is to point out a card that someone might not have heard of that would fill a niche better than the commented card can. If i were to build a r/g goblin deck, this would definately make it in before a grizzly bear.
Before you attempt to make a witty comment, remember than wit's only funny if there's a little truth to it.

I love the artwork on this card. Aside from that, a relatively weak goblin. Fun in red/green decks though.

Yay for the very first (and kinda creepy) green goblin!
Those from Shadowmoore are much more pleasant in my opinion.

One of the very first non-legendary multicoloured cards.

Grizzly Bears were a common at the same time for 1G and the same P/T. Yes, there are plenty of cards that make use of goblins, but that's negated by the fact that Goblin decks are normally straight red.
