Narwhals, narwhals
Swimming in the ocean
Causing a commotion
'Cause they are so awesome
Narwhals, narwhals
Swimming in the ocean
Pretty big and pretty white
They'd beat a polar bear in a fight
Like an underwater unicorn
They have a kickass facial horn
They are the Jedi of the sea
They stop Cthulhu eatin' ye!
Narwhals, they are narwhals
Narwhals
Just don't let 'em touch your balls
Narwhals, they are narwhals
Narwhals
Inventors of the shish kebab.

Another form of Black Knight or White Knight, but costing 2 more since it is Homelands, where good ideas go to die.

Braid_of_Fire's Card of the Day #8
I'm mixed on this card.
I think that it's important to give blue creatures like this that represent its element of choice (water certainly is more important to blue than air), but at the same time, this card is called "Narwhal". It doesn't evoke an image of a battle between planeswalkers, and it's not as though a mage in battle would think "I want to attack this guy with some narwhals. Not any specific ones, just the animal." The flavor text is fairly general too, with a Sea Troll discussing the uses of their horns. It might as well be a token, if not for the fact that it has two off-color effects that would never be seen on a blue token.
So yes, a blue card could get protection from red, but that's really white's game. So is first strike, and in a big way.
My vote for this card brought it below 4.0, which says to me that a lot of Magic players like Giant Shark and its ilk. I am fond ... (see all)

White Knight and Black Knight were printed in Alpha and this costs a full 2 colorless more. What the hell, R&D?

Is card is so out of modern flavor for blue, which makes it so good.
