a strong card, 20 life is pretty easy, too bad about the lifelink nerf with M10, but still, 20 life is not hard to get, even 39 life isnt hard, in a life gain deck

not sure if I would go GW or UW though or straight white

I don't see why he would have to go in a lifegain deck specifically, he would be a sturdy blocker in almost any deck that had room for him. Especially in Green-White, since six mana is incredibly easy to reach with Green.

I would have preferred it was 5/6, but I actually like this card.. I have a thing for cool cat monsters, its in white, which is unusual for a beast. Sort of an excellent blocker card that can still attack, and hey, you know this card was made for Celestial mantle. The name means cat as in felids or feline, and sovereign, so sort of an emperor cat or cat with its own authority, hence the win by 40 or more life points. Everyone just needs to take a step back, ignore the mythic rare symbol for a minute, and say.. ah.. a nice 6 toughness blocker with vigilance and lifelink in white, and there you have it.

Play it in naya shard cycle cards to get it out early with green mana accel, as well as bant cycle, and throw in some dawnglow infusion and oracle of nectars for easy jump to 40 life. Vines of vastwood to keep it in play and boost it's damage are also probably a really good choice. Feudkillers verdict for 10 life gain at a time and a 5/5 giant. Cradle of vitality is a sort of obvio... (see all)

We were playing archenemy and I had this card in my hand. My first scheme was Introductions Are in Order...

Drop a Martyr of the Sands turn one. Turn two sacrifice, revealing (At best) six white cards, gain eighteen life. See how easy it is to win with this?

I can see this getting me hated out of EDH games VERY quickly. This plus leyline of vitality or Elvish Piper will quickly win you the game.

To prevent it from being destroyed I exile it myself and when I'm over 40 I destroy that enchanted and laugh uncontrollably.

a 4/6 with vigilance and lifelink for 6 is quite. but then it gives you an alternate win condition that isn't too hard to achieve. very powerful.

I want to try running some in a GW elf deck with nissa revane
