I don't get why they didn't just reprint Wrath of God
Was this really necessary?

Or you could simply play Brave the Elements. It costs one less than Wrap in Vigor, and will serve the right basic function, especially if you're playing mono-white. Plus you can play it in standard. If only it were around when Wrath of God were standard.
Or you could play Kabira Evangel in an ally deck. Instead of limiting your colors, it limits sub-types, but that's not a problem when you've got an ally strategy going. And of course Kabira is good for keeping the nasties at bay in the meantime.

So stupid that this card is white not black.
I mean, the flavour is so black that they even have a quote from Sorin Markov on it! Come on. This reprint was the perfect chance for WotC to fix the mistake of printing WoG over Damnation as the non-timeshifted version.
Oh well. All I can hope is that since it's now out of the core set, black might see a Damnation reprint in M11. Would be amazing.

This card has no flavor...when you WoG was called what it was called, you expected nothing to survive it just like in real life if we really did experience the WoG. I hate it. It doesn't make sense. A plane is leveled and things can regenerate through it? please...

It annoys me that they reprinted the exact same card under different names 3 times. Especially one as iconic as Wrath of God. Crappy designing.

Broken, just like Wrath of God was.

I strongly believe this card is a lesser version of wrath since it doesn't prevent regeneration. Sure you can use it to your advantage, but if the opponent does the same, what good does it do you???

In many ways, this is better than Wrath of God since you can distory your opponats creatures and regen your own with a typical regen card.

the ability to regenerate from day of judgment doesn't really make a difference, who uses regeneraters anyway? 4.5
