Fastbond + Scouting Trek + This guy + Oracle of Mul Daya or Horn of Greed. Instantly play all your basic lands, gain a ton of life in the process, and now you're way ahead in mana! Plus, you won't be drawing any more lands. Feel free to throw a landfall card of your choice into this combo.

I think I will use this to make the damage from Ankh of Mishra one sided in my Warp World deck.

kicked a Rite of Replication on one my opponent controlled.
next turn, dropped a Primeval Titan.
20 life instantly.
and next turn, when i attacked, plus an extra ten for my regular land drop.
next turn, i played Oracle of Mul-Daya, dropped 2 lands, and attacked with the titan.
90 life in 3 turns. leaving even two of these unattended is a death (life?) sentence

Playable card, works as a pseudo Zuran Orb that relies on putting lands into play rather than saccing them. This is also creature and can provide some offense/defense
For people who are clueless about lifegain: Making a deck purely on lifegain is stupid along with pure life gain cards. However it is also foolish to think its not important when people are already +20 life compared to yours and the only win condition you have is reducing your opponent's life to 0. You can only ignore an opponent's lifegain if you
- Can deal significant damage faster than his lifegain and before he smashes you with whatever creatures he/she has
- Use mills or forced draw cards to win
- Win using poison counters and infect
- Use alternative win conditions such as Barren Glory and Mortal Combat
People who are still against such life gain cards should play against a defensive deck containing said cards and see how hard it is

Yes, there are a lot of animals in this set. But it's a "wild" setting. Perhaps the expansion will see more biped traffic?
