Just bought divine vs. demonic, damn I want this one in my demonic deck, fits in so perfectly.
Pit lord seems so lazy compared to this, just eating your creatures every turn, where this guy turns them into direct life loss for your opponents.

I'm going to use this in my Drana bloodchief EDH deck. pump her up really big than throw her and everyone's face.

A great game ender with Reassembling Skeleton and Grave Pact.

I'm pretty sure this is the card that Abyssal Persecutor needs to buddy up with to work.

I have to tell you this card is the bomb. I like to play a gravepack in all my mono black decks and have some way to sac creatures, and this is truly the way to be. And I don't know how many other superior cards there are compared to this guy (rainyday) that you would play for mono black (or even reanimator) than this guy but if you can find better. let me know cause I would like to add them.

one key difference between him and Lord of the Pit; he taps when you can't sacrifice a card. Lord of the Pit can at least swing.

@hibron I don't think he was thinking of regeneration I'm pretty sure he just meant, ooh look 20 damage.

I like how you can interpret the art as a Demon flying away or a Demon doing a flying kungfu kick >:D

While perhaps a bit too slow to count on, there are some pretty hard hitting combos with this guy:
Pump up a creature before you sac it (Looming Shade, Vampire Rogue, etc) then BOOM with the 10+ damage.
Play two ( or just clone it ) and sac them to each other for 14 !
In multiplayer, it deals to every opponent...
and it's generally pretty hard to deal with that 'loses life' effect.
Another 'trick' is to have an easy way to remove him, when he gets too dangerous for you - Unsummon, Sacrifice him, etc
Maybe not a tournament winner (aren't a lot of the Mythic Rares weak like that?) but it's a fun card when you can pull it off.
