How does an indestructible creature deal with trample? Presumably you wouldn't take trample damage if you blocked a trampling creature with one of your indestructible creatures. The definition of trample as I understand it is that "if this creature would deal enough damage to its blockers to destroy them you may have it deal the remaining damage to the defending player." Your indestructible creature wouldn't die of course. But the trampling creature "would" deal enough damage to kill it even though it actually doesn't. Does it trample over it without killing it? Or does the indestructible creature halt the entire trample attack? Does anyone know?

What happens when you make a Defiant Vanguard indestructible? Does he still kill the dude he blocks, and live to tell the tale?

"How does an indestructible creature deal with trample?"
Although you can't actually destroy the indestructible creature, the trampling creature would deal enough damage to it that would 'normally' kill it, then tramples over the rest. It still counts as lethal damage, even though it doesn't actually destroy it.

I saw a casual friend of mine beat a T1.x goblin deck that got off to a slowish start with this and a palace guard.

Suppose you enchant Simic Guildmage with Indestructibility, then enchat that Indestructibility with another indestructibility, and then, using the Guildmage ability, attach the first Indestructibility to the other, would you get a bizarre ball of indestructible uselessness?
