Great card -- especially since it costs only ONE of those cute little skulls --, but it honestly gets blown away by Celestial Purge since CP is a permanent exiling instant! Where DM is only a creature destroying sorcery. Wouldn't mind having either one on my sideboard, but DM still gets poonterated by CP.

If anything, the skull just grosses me out that much more, it's like black just puked all over green and white. Which is probably the message they're trying to get across anyways, but...

The M10 artwork brilliantly incorporates the color of mana into the work (the pupil resembles a black skull!), and it shows what the card actually does (it kills things!), and the use of cropping, viewpoint, and the figure's pose make it interesting to the academic mind (what is going on in the work?). I love this work so much! =)

The art nicely portray the black skull is colour of the card itself. The green iris and white sclera is being marked by it. Thus the art is accurately reflected on the text itself.
