Lol I'd think EVERYONE would be just simply over joyed it's uncommon. And with only being usable when BLOCKING it's deffinitly not worthy of the rare status-- I'd be ticked if I pulled THIS for my rare, I love the card but aint THAT great.

Discussion about rarity aside, I have to say the current art-change embodies a lot of what's wrong with Magic nowadays.The original image from Fifth Edition onwards is that of beautiful girl in a crimson mantle, holding a sword in austere contemplation.

In Tenth Ed. and M10, we went from that picture to an image of a chick (androgynous dude?) in bikini armor running across a neon-blue field, with her hair pointing up like some sort of Dragon Ball Z homage. Excuse me, but what the hell.

And it's not just this card's art. You'll note that this same thing is more or less what happened to the white angels in recent sets - we went from Shadowmoor's haunting Twilight Shepherd and Alara's armored Empyrial Archangel to Rise of the Eldrazi''s pregnant bikini angels (when they're not in thongs or bondage gear). Frankly disappointing.

Who ever decided to make this card uncommon, thank you. Beefing up one blocker is definitely not worth rare status. If it was to an attacking creature, then it could be considered rare. Hmm.... that sounds like it would be an interesting card.

I often play it on one of my opponent's blocking creatures, after playing on it Boros Fury-Shield. He's dealt at least 8 damage for only 1WhiteWhiteRed.
