The card to compare this to is not in fact Serra Angel. It's Angel of Light.

Terrific card for budget constructed. Without help your opponent will just cast a titan next turn and laugh at your 3/3 flying vigilance for 5 mana.

It's literally half an Akroma. What's not to like? It's killer in Limited and has a spot in my cube alongside all its broken sisters.
