How to get Emrakul by turn 3:
Turn 1: Reveal 4 chancellors of the tangle, play 2 overgrown battlements (you have one more overgrown battlement in your opening hand)
Turn 2: Draw overgrown battlement. Tap two overgrown battlements to play the other two that you have.
Turn 3: Draw Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Tap 4 overgrown battlements to play Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
Turn 4: Play 2 chancellor of the tangles and attack with emrakul
Turn 5: play two more chancellors of the tangles and attack again with emrakul
YOU WIN!!!

I still think Emrakul should have been a plainswalker

Broken card, just like any annihilator card. For those talking about multple methods to deal with this, it requires your turn unless you can cast as though your spells had flash or somethong of the sort since not only can he not be countered and prot. from colored spells, he gives an extra turn. By that time that he attacks next turn, the 6 sac. hurts along with his 15 power. Annihilator, one of those mehcnaics that leaves you wondering, what was wizards on that day

It's a good enough card, but I wouldn't use it.

This guy and his ilk are *hardly* guaranteed millstoppers.
My mill deck contains both Extract x2 and Sadistic Sacrament x4,
as well as Extirpate x4,
so good luck with that tactic.
(and if I were playing Standard, I would be packing Memoricide for the same reason)

Ben's question of the day.
Is Emrakul torn by the Eons? Is it Eons-Torn, as one might be wind-swept?
Or is Emrakul-a personification of the Eons-which have themselves been torn? Is it Eons Torn, as in Dosan, The Falling leaf?

One of my friends is running a UB Everflowing Chalice/Proliferation deck that can reliably hardcast Emrakul turn four or five.
Not that he ever plays with it, it's just not very fun for anyone.
