No, Wizards. Homelands is the set you were supposed to print bad cards in....

This is actually a decent pick in limited... especially with some Eldrazi spawns to help bring it to play faster.

P.S. You can still equip Razor Boomerang to this to deal... well ya anyways... this card was really made for limited.

I find it amusing that "it's made for limited' has become the standard excuse for filling sets with crappy cards that are completely unplayable even in casual constructed. If you stop to think for a minute, you'll realize this argument makes no sense. It's not like there's anything inherent about the limited format that REQUIRES cards to be crappy. If Wizards made sets in such a way that even the commons were decent and playable, there would still be a limited format, the only difference being that the card quality would be closer to what you see in constructed. As it stands, the only reason that Wizards maintains such a disparity in quality between overpowered rares and the mostly underpowered commons/uncommons that are "made for limited" is to make more money. That's it.
It would be nice to have a game where most of the cards could be used in some way or were actually tradeable instead of one where 90% of the cards you pull end up in the junk pile at the game shop, and even the rares... (see all)

When i glanced at the artwork and saw a Word with about five letters starting with a "G" left from the word "Warrior" as creature type, i was at first wondering whether we have some sort of heavy 4/5 Goblin fatties in this set, but then i realized the only Goblin here is the one being crushed by this Giant.

But since we have a Goblin in our artwork, we also have another amusing flavor text for the card - at least, since zapping Goblins or players when you can afford six mana is not that overwhelming...

Honestly, this was fine in limited. It had a decently sized body that made it effective against levelers, though it was ineffective against Eldrazi, and could knock out an opponent's spawn token, or low-toughness creature like Enclave Cryptologist.

Terrible anywhere else, of course, but I didn't mind playing this one in draft or sealed.

Every set gets its stinkers. I don't like this card, but I've seen worse. And, at uncommon, I won't need to worry about cracking too many of them.

Not quite strictly worse that Inferno Titan, but close enough. ;)

Compare to Inferno Titan.

Granted, it's mythic vs uncommon, but same cost for 2 more power, 1 more toughness, pumpable power for R, 2 more damage on come into play, 3 damage each time it attacks, and the damage can be divided among up to 3 targets.

I would pay $40 to a webstore and get 4 Inferno Titans before even pondering putting this in a deck.

I can't decide if this is worse than Razor Boomerang or not...
