Yes, we probably won't be seeing this in standard. But a 4/1 creature plus 2 0/1 mana producers for 5 is very powerful in limited. Dread Drone can't be Vendetta'd, and no one is going to waste a Flame Slash on it, either.

The 0/1s are efficient (if you pack something good with it, like in the Kozilek's Predator's case), but the 4/1 non-trampling weakie-body is not so efficient.

Based on it having "Dread" in its name, I wonder if Intimidate/Fear was removed from this at the last minute? If so, it really would have been better to drop one power instead.
