Strictly worse than Kjeldorian Outrider and Veteran Armorer: same mana cost (
), same P/T (2/2), same creature types (Human Soldier), same rarity (Common), but they have abilities.
However, a vanilla 2/2 for 2 is a basic card, and so it's not SO bad...

Unless you have a real problem with paying instead of , use Sigiled Paladin. Exalted and first strike for just a switch of mana color.

If you have ever once slain anything 3/3 or larger with a glory seeker, or had it been part of a lethal swing (whether it survived or not), or had it gain at least two keywords at once, I think that from a flavor perspective, the glory has been won.
