Use this card in a R/G speed deck. Use elves for mana pumping & then watch the look on your opponent's face when you reveal a fatty Eldrazi. This spell is worth a solid 4/5 in my book.

Seems good for EDH. Big creatures + Wrath effects= EDH. Oh, and Sensei's Divining Top, too.

Having someone reveal Emrakul, the Aeons Torn from their hand to play this is just as devastating as Emrakul himself. Probably not as useful outside limited or constructed but you could still wipe out a legion of weenies/tokens with the kind of 3-5 CMC creature you'd likely have in any red deck. Solid sideboard, worst case.

Now, if I had a Mogg Maniac or three on the board then I'd beg you to play this and show me Emrakul. :o

Big card advantage for Red, especially in multi-player - which is where this card shines the brightest (the designers didn't create a Commander version of this card on accident).

If you're playing a creature-heavy deck and have a good supply of big creatures, this is better than Starstorm, which is certainly saying something. If you're not worrying about your creatures, Starstorm beats Disaster Radius in versatility and usability/playability.

I've been fine-tuning a mono-Red Giants and Dragons deck, and I'm going to play an iteration of it that includes both Disaster Radius and Starstorm.

This is probably a 3.5 - 4, as Wanderer25 suggested. However, given the necessity for big creatures in hand, as well as the sizeable casting cost (and given that I can't rate between 3.5 and 4), I've gotta go with 3.5 - which is still a 'good' rating.

Obviously Eldrazi goodies. The bare minimum for an Eldrazi spell is 7 anyways, so converting your, say, Hand of Emrakul to "Wipe target opponent's field" is totally worth it.

Like most cards related to the Eldrazi, situational, but damned hilarious.

@ Macsen - So you rate cards based on how much cash you have to spend to use them?? That is ridiculous. Cards should be rated based on their playability, power and usefulness. I can understand people slightly adjusting their ratings for nice artwork and flavor, but the price tag on a card should have absolutely no affect on its rating.... the price is simply a result of supply and demand.
