It's a little expensive. The cost makes sense for what it does, but Eldrazi needs early removal to get the running and this is just no tfast enough imo

As creative a reference it might seem, "Spawn Broodlings" is boring and Corpsehatch conveys exactly what it needs to in a clean portmanteau of a word that rolls off the tongue.
It involves a corpse you recently produced, and 2 spawns hatch from it. It might as well be a 1BB removal spell. It's great and in addition to that, play this twice and you can sac the 4 spawns for a 9cmc Hand of Emrakul.

Don't treat it like an expensive slow Doom Blade; treat it like a Nekrataal that gives you 2 bodies.

@BongRipper: It was awesome. There were basically two dominant strategies: Ramp into Eldrazi or defend yourself until you got the mana to cast Eldrazi. Spot removal was in high demand, and Corpsehatch is particularly nice, letting you both kill an opponent's creature while helping you reach the magical 8 mana to cast Ulamog's Crusher
