I can't help but like him. He's an appropriately costed artifact creature with flavor.

Eeeeeh. He feels like he comes from the age of "It's an artifact creature? Quick, add {2} to its CMC!"

Still, he's... okay. Definitely a 1.5 card imo. Not utterly terrible, but just ultimately outclassed.
