All this card is is green's answer to vampires like vampiric nighthawk and is only really meant to be a sideboard card. Will definitely see even less use once zendikar is over.

Why pay 4 mana to get rid of something? The only way you could utilize the 1 mana cost is by a black creature coming into play that turn. Seems too situational to combo with Abyssal Persecutor.

Takes out bloodwitch, which makes it a really good answer for my friend's W/g weenie deck (the g is for dauntless escort, mostly) for my vamps deck.

Plummet is better. This is good only if you're playing it with Trapmaker's Snare or Baneful Omen.
