Ok there's a lot of hate surrounding this card just because alot of people expect it to come out in turn two and win the game. Myr Superion is an excellent support card, but it needs to be played as part of a strategy, since on its own it will be a dead card on your hand.
You'll need Palladium Myr and Semblance Anvil to get him into play (In an artifact themed, standard deck) and he can come out around turn 3 or 4. This will bring you a 5/6 body (vanilla on its own) but together with a Galvanizer Myr or Tampered steel in play, thats a 6/7 or 7/8 in play for 2 mana or for free! Even if he comes into play late he's still a powerful creature for almost no cost. Now if you include a couple of Myr Reservoir, you can also bring him back from the graveyard and into play for cheap, giving you a beast of a Myr that will not stay put down.
Sure he can be exiled, and he can be chump blocked, there's no such thing as a perfect strategy but what people are missing is that this is not a stand alo... (see all)

First thought is, of course, that it is made for mana myr, but quickly your mind thinks "ELVES!" But then you think, what about something faster? What about something that dosn't have to tap? What about... Eldrazi spawn?
1: mountain, Rite of flame or simian spirit guide, Spawning breath
2: brood birthing, sac 4, two myr superion.
Then you think "why pay mana? Lower the cost to 0!"
Heartless summoning (as is the popular comment) or semblance anvil,

Turn 1: Forest, Llanowar Elves.
Turn 2: Mountain, Llanowar Elves (from forest), tap mountain for burst of speed, tap both elves for this.
Turn 3: Grin evilly.

Apparently this guy was originally going to be a 7/7 myr for the same cost & casting clause...*shudders at the thought*

Fun as heck, if a little difficult to play.
Semblance Anvil, Prototype Portal, Heartless Summoning, and Birthing Pod all love this card and are efficient ways to cheat it out.
