What happens if I reduce its cost to 0? Will I be able to cast it or is it restricted to only be cast by creatures that produce mana? Does this rule apply if no mana is being spent at all?

Turn 1 Initiates of the Ebon Hand or Manaforge Cinder or Orochi Leafcaller and turn 2 this.
Or if you really don't feel like playing mana you can play Heartless Summoning and drop up to 4 of these for at 4/5 on turn 2.

Manaforge cinder is an excellent idea, because you dont even need mama dudes. this guy is really cool, challenges you to think outside the box.

chancellor of the tangle doesn't play this, but it can let you turn 1 a priest of urabrask or burning-tree emissary into this or play multiple elves to play this on turn 2

t1 Memnite, Mountain, Infernal Plunge, this.
Who needs to wait for turn 2?
EDIT: Left out Priest of Urabrask in that combo, my bad! It comes after Infernal Plunge

Amazing turn 2-3 drop.
Mediocre in Midgame.
Horrible as Topdeck.
Game Losing on a empty board.
Very narrow in which kind of decks it could fit. Elves hardly need more Beaters. And in any Grand Architect Deck this card is extremly vulnerable. Just to few (4x Grand Architect) means to cast it.
