I run four Corpse Cur in a deck that's light on creatures and they've been a steady stream of never-ending blockers that whittle down an opponent's creatures fairly quick. Pair them with means for proliferation and you can bring down bigger creatures within a turn or two.

Let's look at it like this: "Infect" is distributed between green and black in this set. So if you want as much infect as you can get, you want to use a 
deck. If you split those two colors, you're going to definitely want some colorless. This is that, and has its own infect, and retrieves one of your suicide infectors for you. And it's a common.

This is probably my favorite common in the Scars set. He always puts in work for me, and because I know his brothers can bring him back to life, I can afford to play reckless with him.

Ok, the Corpse Cur + Throne of Geth + Core Prowler thing is really and nice and all....no really, limited players, Im happy for you...

and if you want to play slow Phyrexians...Corpse Cur is 4 mana. I know a 4 mana creature that kind of rapes Corpse Cur. Anally. Repeatedly. Phyrexian Obliterator.
So what if he's mono-black? He's also mono-biwinning.
