Wow. A goblin that gives kor duelist a run for its money for best equip creature.
Kor duelist does 6 damage on turn two with two shukos
This guy does 7 with the same equipment, and includes trample.
I'm not going to say this guy is better than the duelist, I'm telling you to put both in your equipment deck since they stand head and shoulders above the next best: kitesail apprentice.
Don't bother giving this guy first strike. There are no efficient equipment that do it. Just power him up, crash through for obscene damage, and attack with a different creature next turn. You don't get to obscene damage by waiting around to cast and equip fireshrieker. You get there with the efficient stuff like bonesplitter, O-naginata and Cranial Plating. I've won many games that way. And win or lose they are fun games to play.

This guy + Slagwurm Armor = a 3/7 on turn 3. Pretty sweet, huh?

After using Mask of Avacyn and Darksteel Plate to protect him, as well as giving a +4/+0 boost, you can then begin pumping him with other equipment goodies like Darksteel Axe, Silver-Inlaid Dagger , Sharpened Pitchfork , etc. The skies the limit with this guy, and decks can be built around him.

He works surprisingly well in Warrior decks too, given that the Obsidian Battle-Axe suddenly makes him a 5/2 with Trample and Haste. Heck, those decks pack more than one as well, so it often means he's a late game stomper too.

Liked him in standard a while back, but still the bomb in pauper, esp. in R/W deck with Sunspear Shikari, Adventuring Gear,Bladed Pinions, Blazing Torch, Bone Saw, Bonesplitter, Cranial Plating, Explorer's Scope, Accorder's Shield, Leonin Scimitar, Spidersilk Net,Strider Harness, Sylvok Lifestaff, Ardent Recruit, Auriok Sunchaser and Galvanic Blast and Arrest to round it out.

That art! Love this and the SoM Goblin token X>) . This should be fun with Inquisitor's Flail 3/1 Trampling creature that deals double damage and receives double damage. Effectively a 6/1 against anything without first/double or firstest strike (Somberwald Vigilante)! Awesome.. let loose the Goblins!

Here's how to win on turn 3 with only commons that have CMC 1
Turn 1
Mountain, Goblin Gaveleer
Turn 2
Forest, Bonesplitter, equip, attack for five
Turn 3
Forest, Assault Strobe on the gaveleer, attack. If they use removal, respond with a kicked Vines of Vastwood. If they don't use removal, use a kicked Vines of Vastwood anyway. Attack for eighteen.
