So many questions...
Why is he a Merfolk?
Why does he die to Sanctuary Cat?
Why does he work the door of this establishment in his underpants or depending on the shadows maybe even naked?

He doesn't look like a merfolk, he doesn't look like a spellshaper and he certainly looks more than 1/1 (1/1 being the average human, like the 2 guys he is bouncing). Other than the inaccurate art, great card.

Man, for a brief period this guy was showing up in Top 8 Legacy decks, because Survival of the Fittest needed a way to re-play a couple Basking Rootwallas to trigger Vengevine.
It's always funny when a junk card from ages ago suddenly shows up in top-tier tournament decklists. :)

Good, if you have the right deck.

His name isn't a pun on the phrase 'bouncing a creature'. This is what the phrase is named after.

This guy won me 2 PTQ's in my madness deck, combined with Gilded Drake, Basking Rootwalla, Circular Logic, and Arrogant Wurm.

Obviously a Merfolk, who else could enforce on the waterfront?

Just like many others before me, I did complain about him being 1/1, but then I realized the astonishing fact that he is a Spellshaper.
So here he is: a blue beefy bouncer magician who's constantly beaten up by cats, faeries and little girls.
Joking aside, he's awesome.

@The_Murderauder: 5 stars for "insectoid cosplayer", also your name sounds like a Metalocalypse song...
