Selected this card from the list of Masques cards. Looked at the picture there and thought: "Wow, what a beautiful picture." And lo and behold, it was by my old favorite Tom Wänerstrand. He and Rob Alexander are my biggest favourites on Magic card illustrators. Rebecca Guay and Quinton Hoover come next.

Normally sacrifice of a mountain is a greater loss to a player than spending the mana costs. Nevertheless this card has the right to exist.

Clever design here; think of a good first turn play with this: Turn 1, mountain, lightning bolt, thunderclap. Tell me they didn't think of that.
