It also stops your opponent's Pokémon from using items for five turns.

I like it with gold ol' Winter Orb for the sheer lockdown. Have fun with one to two land per turn and no other untapped permanents.

Or, you know, you could just make sure you can win within the next 5 turns or so. Or get something with lifelink and vigilance out. This is a more expensive stasis (but they still get lands, but so do you) that is easier to keep up, but will kill you if you leave it up too long (and you can't just end it). Play UW with a bunch of vigilance creatures, then drop this and start swinging. If you have lifelink on one of them, you've got all the time in the world.

The lose 2 life is redundant, you're already gonna be losing 2 life a turn from being shanked by the other 5 players.
