Faaantastic land. Entering tapped is a drawback for sure, but in a worst case it gives one of your creatures pseudo-unblockability, and in a best case scenario, you can use it for some repeatable protection shenanigans with cards like Ruin Ghost.
Fantastic in an aggressive bushwhacker deck, though again, coming in tapped goes against the aggressive nature of such a deck.

This land has another use beyond granting temporary evasion: you can use the protection to destroy a Pacifism or other Aura that's been nerfing your creature.

IMO the best land of the lands in Worldwake with a COP ability. This thing is a very potent offensive tool when using some decently sized creatures. Might even be worth playing in non-white decks as a sneaky tool to get that Warren Instigator through your opponents defenses on turn 3. But by far the best part about it, is that it's free.

i think at the very least this card will add tension where instead there was none

Protection at sorcery speed will primarily serve as evasion effect - when playing against monocolored decks this is an amazing tool to allow one of your creatures to become unblockable.
But if you have a way to activate this spell at instant-speed you have an awesome tool to fizzle removal spells:
It can turn a Ruin Ghost into a Landfall-triggering Mother of Runes!

Even better than Ruin Ghost is Knight of the Reliquary which can fetch this for instant speed protection and pump itself. Definitely the best of the cycle.

So uhhh... yeah. Killed an opponen'ts zendikon in the release tourney. Later on I felt bad because I then read the "you control" part :(

Basically can make a guy unblockable for a turn, decent card that isn't broken. Can be a game-winning top deck draw if combined with something devastating offensively.

I think it's good? I don't know in Boros having 8 tap lands could be devastating, but it really can be responsible for as much damage as Teetering Peeks if played right.
