This can lead to a sick combo with Mycoloth and Soul's Might especially if you have a Thallid Germinator or Pallid Mycoderm to boost its power even more for more counters.

Bant is my favorite Shard, and I LOVE the Shards of Alara Block. This thing got me a game win when I was playing planeschase with a few friends and my exalted deck, which is infamous in my group for having had as many as 24 instances of exalted fire off at once on an unblockable creature with Rafiq and Finest Hour both out. I think I dealt a little over 120 damage that turn, knocking out the other guy my next attack phase. It was so sweet.
