Stop complaining, folks. Any hard counterspell that can be played for free is pretty good. Besides, the fact that you can play it while tapped out and then easily reset three lands makes it custom-made for use with Winter Orb or even Stasis.

A good trick to get you out of tight places, but the three Island cost can make it backfire in terms of tempo. Use with caution.

I run this in my MUC deck, and while it is rough on your tempo early-game, but it's pretty sweet mid-game if you've been hitting all your land-drops. It's nice to drop Sphinx of Jwar Isle turn six and know I've still got this waiting in the wings. Not a 5/5 but it's far from the worst counterspell Wizards has made.

This card is a bit more valuable with "landfall" to make sure you have lands to play each turn.

I would love to use this in my UG Mill Landfall deck, but the THREE island cost is killing me. In monoblue landfall mill or monoblue period this is amazing. A great, somewhat cheaper costing (literal money) ForceoWill

Hey, cool, it's like a slightly worse, but still somewhat viable form of Force of Will. Blue control/counter is mostly what I run so this would be pretty cool in it.

IMO, use this with a mass destruction card to save your lands. There's probably a good combo in there using that style.

Big brother of Daze :D

Aside from its use in Stasis decks, this might combine nicely with Magus of the Library.
Yeah, it throws you back a lot and you need 5 cards in hand(and 3 islands on the field) before casting this to work, but green also has cards like Exploration after all.

It's a huge setback in the early game, but late game when you dont mind 3 lands having to be replayed its amazing.
