Time Stretch = 4 turns after this one
that's five turns in a row
IF YOU CAN'T WIN IN FIVE TURNS THEN YOU NEVER WERE GOING TO WIN!

This could be fun with Maelstrom Nexus in a Cascade deck that used lots of burn--you could cast a LOT of free Blightenings, certainly.

Sup dawg. I herd you liked spells, so I put some spells in your spells so you can cast while you cast.

I got into a huge argument with my friend about this card and Capsize. What do you do if you want to buy it back?

Okay, how to make Cast Through Time work with the buyback mechanic. Cast your buyback card (for the purposes of this example, let's assume it's Capsize) and don't pay the buyback cost. Your spell exiles, and rebounds your next upkeep. When your spell rebounds on your upkeep, pay the buyback cost. Because it is technically cast when Rebounded, you can buy it back then. Otherwise, you'd just have to return it to your hand when you bought it back.

Actually, Buyback would work very well with this. The spell is cast indeed, you just don't pay it's mana cost again, but you may pay aditional costs. Buybacking on the first time you play would return the spell to your hand instead of removing it from play, so you would have nothing to rebound, but the second time, the spell would be put into a graveyard as normal, so you can pay just the buyback cost to put it on your hand once more. For example, you could cast two Capsize, bounce two permanents, then pay the buyback cost when they are rebounded to put them back on your hand. Next turn you could do it again, and again... It saves you having to pay both the mana cost and buyback on the same turn.

Hmmmm..... seems at first like a good late game emergency plan, but when I think of it, it requires too much extra support for a top deck. You play this, wait a turn, draw something and play it, then the next turn you get a free spell. Also, this is not too friendly toward instants, which tend to rely on timing in my opinion.
The only plus side I see is that it is much more possible to burn out an opponent off of top deck burn spells. (unfortunately not including X spells)
