i have read a magic novel and am reading another one right now. you statement if intierly false in that there are far more novels then just the ones with these caricters in it. you should have said you have not read (insert name of nove), not that you have not read any novels. i find that very ofensive.

@DaaNz: Famous for its combo with your mom.

@Superllama12: Masques had good cards( Lunge) but crappy flavor, which is why I think it was hated. I stayed with Wizards through Homelands, which was the worst set, but I stopped playing for years after Masques, just because so much of it was so bland.

T1: Llanowar Elves
T2: Garruk's Companion
T3: Leatherback Baloth
T4: Rushwood Elemental
T5: Primalcrux

Without any acceleration other than the Llanowar Elves, a T5 17/17 Trample is nothing to scoff at. Rushwood elemental sweetens the step up with the GreenGreenGreenGreenGreen cost, and will usually be a 5/5 by the time the Primalcrux comes out. This guy really buffed up the damage output in my green stompy deck. I had been running obstinate baloth in that spot to combat any damage loss from early game weenies...but I can typically get the Rushwood out on the same turn as the baloth would, and he serves a better purpose than the baloth as well. In a mono-green deck, I really love creatures that have multi-green symbols in their costs, because they're usually more efficient since they aren't splashable.

I read the Mercadian Masques novel (the set in which this is printed) and got nothing. I suspect Danz is just trolling again. Haven't you noticed that he does that a lot?

Not better/worse than Chlorophant, starts 4/4 trample...synergizes with Primalcrux. Karametra's Acolyte for mana. Nylea, God of the Hunt would be a creature instantly with this, but Chlorophant needs the trample!

This card is great for chroma/devotion, but the problem is that the spirit avatars are better.
