I don't know why some people don't like this card. 5/7 legends for seven mana with a borderline useless ability are good design, or else why would we have Emmara Tandris? And is a 5/7 Human Advisor really any more absurd than a 5/7 Elf Shaman? Designers of Legends were just visionaries far ahead of their time.

I'd use him in EDH as my commander just for the flavor text. Also, if there was no Legends set there would be a lot fewer funny but terrible commanders to humiliate your opponents with, and that would be even sadder than this card is.
