One of the most awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping pieces in Magic. Its the cards like these which are odd, unique, and you could stair at for an hour which got me into this game and have kept me in it.

Old-school land type changing. Good in combination with land destruction, screwing with what's left of your opponent's mana base. Great with swampwalkers. And as an additional bonus, there is both original wording (tokens) AND missprint (no casting cost!) funkyness.

I made a Zombie / Swampwalk / Cyclopean Tomb deck in ME4 limited and won with it! Well, one game anyway.

Oh man, back in the day I would always run this in my Green/Black deck. By using my green early to boost my mana, I was able to shut down non-black decks fairly quickly (Green didn't usually have too much trouble with this card either) and then abuse them with my swampwalk blacks.

The Alpha version of the text made it quite clear what it does. There was no confusion. Now, the Oracle steps in to "fix what isn't broken" by "clarifying" the text with whacky errata for us silly Magicians.
"When Cyclopean Tomb is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, at the beginning of each of your upkeeps for the rest of the game, remove all mire counters from a land that a mire counter was put onto with Cyclopean Tomb but that a mire counter has not been removed from with Cyclopean Tomb."
Say... WHAAAT???
