As far as I see it, this card has flash so you can cast it at the end of his turn. That way you can leave mana for counterspells open.

Instant speed version of Paralyzing Grasp; nice in theory, but having it cost an additional 1 makes it not worth it. If a creature was giving me that much trouble, I'd rather just use Unsummon or Narcolepsy.

This card is useful in the right deck. Attach it to a large creature with haste and they might not want to attack with it knowing it won't ever untap unanswered. Most decks in todays metagame don't have tons of answers for Auras. Imagine locking down a Grave Titan. That could buy you enough time to win when normally you would be screwed. Or they waste there perm removal on it. I like it.

It was good at the prerelease. It did its job. Other than that, it's too expensive to be used outside limited.

It fits in limited blue deck, but still it's rather underpowered. Either reduction of cost, or changing it to enchant permanent could make it so much better.

Overpriced for what it does, and the flash is tacked-on without a lot of oppurtunity for use.

I know the inherent advantages of this being instant speed make it slightly better, but I couldn't think of a worse card to put Flash on. Things like Lightning Bolt and Jace's Ingenuity are excellent to cast on your opponent's turn, but if you cast this on an opponent's creature during his turn it won't do anything.
