Centurion, I'm with you on the mythic thing. Winning at a tournament should not cost $600+
Also, Capt'n, be aware: if they Act of Treason this dude, its effect no longer applies to them, and they can attack as they please (as long as they control the Arbiter, at least).

Intimidation Bolt, Silence, Stun Sniper, Ajani Vengeant, Cerdons, Linvala, Angelic Arbiter
R/W Control GO GO!!
But seriously, 7cmc? 5cmc would be acceptable with that damn Baneslayer reprinted. 6cmc would be playable too.

This card is pretty cool, I won 3 games with it in play in a draft tournament on 7/23/2010

The wording on this card is what has me and my friends confused. One friend says since the card does not say "Until the end of turn" the effect of not being able to attack, or cast spells lasts until the end of the game, much like Elsbeth's final ability to make creatures on the field indestructible, without the time limit of until the end of turn.
It'd really worry me if the card really is meant to last until the end of the game, that'd be so incredibly broken, so we've been playing that the effect ends at the end of your turn.
Any advice or confirmation would be wonderful.

Someone tried to force a win by playing this at the prerelease. I Clone'd it then Doom Blade'd it. He was not happy.

@Orcish_Ledge
It lasts for as long as it's on the battlefield.

Exciting in idea, lackluster in practice.
If you ignore the lockdown ability, you can get much more interesting and powerful offensive and defensive creatures. This gets cut from my decklists while I am surveying my Twilight Shepherds, Windbrisk Raptors, Vengeful Archons, Purity and Deathless Angel.
So let's get back to the lockdown. Firstly, they can play a removal spell, and then attack, which they would likely need to do anyway on the 7/7 Vengeful Archon. Then, any turn your opponent doesn't want to do both actions happens normally. This is surprisingly common after turn 7. Yes it is effective against certain kinds of decks, but the same could be said for Purity, which has more power for less mana.

This angel is brutal (you know, in a justice enforcing sort of way), I've used her a lot in my white/blue deck to keep my opponent from playing nasties such as Distortion Strike and Assault Strobe while attacking.
