The only modern legal Warchief; and he was already an incredibly strong warchief due to the +2/+1. If you play a 2/x T1 (many many zombie cards), another one or two 2/2s T2, a lord T3, then this guy then it's:
T2 - 2 damage
T3 - 6 damage
T4 - 14 damage
If that doesn't display how powerful a 2/2 each turn is with this guy, nothing I can say. if playing Zombie Infestation and/or bridge from below it's quite possible to swing for 20+ T4.

So this guy gives itself +2/+1? Most lords tend to have "other creatures", but this doesn't say other.

I'd play this as a four-of based off it's flavor text alone.

This whole cycle's flavour is that they use the Moxen around their necks ^_^

@NuclearMECCA:
These are not lords, these are WARCHIEVES. Strictly better, not in the literal sense, but in the heavily opinionated "why-would-you-not-prefer-cost-reduction" sense. They made a new cycle of them in Lorwyn, called Bannerets, but I have yet to use them. What makes Warchieves even more powerful is the application of newer cards, such as Followed Footsteps or Rite of Replication.
Edit: It's not Lorwyn, but it's the same Morningtide bullshyt.

A 3/2 which costs 2BB. Subsequent Undead Warchief is a 5/3 which costs 1BB. Third and fourth Undead Warchiefs are 6/4 for BB. Here's my advice:
Setting up a zombie deck? Get swamps, then Undead Warchiefs, then Carnophages. Then build your deck as you want.

2nd best warchief there is.
He would be first, if soldiers weren't so insanely powerful.
The other 3 are a joke (at least in comparison)

this is an excellent card zombie, because when it enters the player could cause much damage.

turn 1- sample one drop or if lucky... a dark ritual + Death Baron
turn 2 - dark ritual + Undead Warchief
turn 3- Undead Warchief...
turn 4- whatever you see fitting...you already have 3x 6/4...you might as well put another lord and Cover of Darkness or something...oh yeah...they have death touch...
