Played a game where they had this out with a Darksteel Forge and Alpha Authority.
Odric, Master Tactician + 4 Sidewinder Sliver.

It's not the greatest, but sometimes your opponent just can't deal with it. And when that happens, lol.
Also, this card has found its way into my friend's wallet to avoid losing The Game. Yes, that Game.

This is the kind of card that should be printed in the core sets. Core sets are supposed to teach players things; specifically the need for removal and bounce spells, and the fact that even if nobody ever uses Platinum Angel, you have to assume they do.

It's tempting to try to come up with a way to protect this so you really can't ever lose, but it's also very, very hard, most likely impossible. The best I can come up with is the following:
Darksteel Forge to make it indestructible.
Leonin Abunas or Indomitable Archangel to give it shroud.
Mycosynth Lattice to make your shroud generator an artifact and therefore also indestructible (plus all the rest of your permanents for that matter.)
Tajuru Preserver so you won't have to sac it.
Treacherous Link so that any damage that still manages to be dealt to it isn't, even through anti-prevention effects (negates Everlasting Torment/Hurricane or similar, as well as ... (see all)
