My friend, who has been playing for two years now, once seriously told me that it is his favorite card, because it can prolong the game for him to kill the opponent. He had a red hand-sized imprint mark on his face for a few days after that

Its a sideboard option against RDW. Instant speed means that you can hold it to end of opponents turn, and make sure your not going to need counter mana or whatever. Casting this will keep you alive long enough for RDW to burn itself out.
