I imagine the sound of it pulling up the earth is like buckling steel? But something about the artwork tells me the material might be different... softer perhaps? Maybe slightly edible? :P

This.
Aura Gnarlid.
Today I played these two cards for a 25/25 creature that was virtually unblockable. My friends hate me now.

This curves handily into Solemn Simulacrum. Then again, so do some much more useful pieces of equipment.

If you want to think about this card instead of playing it, there's always something like: Mycosynth Lattice + Master of Etherium + March of the Machines + Mirrorweave. Once again, this is only theoretical. If you try to build a deck like this, have a fun time trying to win. But still, kill all opponents lands (I don't know if Mirrorweave works on CMC, but if it does, then all their permanents) and get +1/+1 for each permanent left. I think.

This can get pretty big in a deck with Quicksilver Fountain and a way to bounce your lands.

Basically equipment version of Blanchwood Armor in a mono-green deck (except it uses all player's lands!)

Turns your Gladecover Scout into a Dungrove Elder if you're only running basic lands.

Why has no one mentioned Blood Moon? Commander potential is HIGH.
