Hand of the Praetors is a good combo, but you also have Mimic Vat, Tangle Angler, Primal Bellow and Vines of Vastwood available if you're playing mono-green, all of which make Putrefax extremely dangerous.

Groundbreaker for 10.
I'll take it.

What's so evil about trample combined with infect is that even if your opponent can block and "soak up" most of Putrefax's power, now his creatures are weakened. This guy is brutal, and concede-worthy if your opponent also has out a Hand of the Praetors or two.

with hand of the praetors this actually swings for 7 poison
@ceramonialbathory Thats how it's 7, 5 / +1/+1 / the one you put directly on
it makes it basically a kicked elemental appeal

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. Running this card in EDH with Rafiq is more or less an auto win if you can get him on the field. Trample, Double Strike, Haste, and Infect makes him one scary SOB.
EDIT: Especially in a format where the starting life is 40 rather than 20.

This guy's art is gnarly.
Perfect addition to Green Infect.
Makes your opponent terrified to swing all in on you, even if you have crappy board position.

I intend to combo this guy with Mimic Vat and laugh maniacally.
