It is possible to fling an Emrakul. Sacrificing Emrakul to fling doesn't target it, so its protection from colored spells ability does nothing.

Combos nicely with Act of Treason, whack 'em with their own fatty then kill it! haha.

Combined with Act of Treason, this can be very funny. Last draft, end of the game, my Inferno Titan got Mind Controlled, my opponent thought he had me. On my turn, Act of Treason, Attack + Fling, FTW! The guy left the table without shaking my hand.

Ball Lightning
12 damage for 5 mana.
Good game.

I love this card in so many different ways. Yeah, it is mostly trumped by Soul's Fire... but maybe I don't WANT the creature to live! Maybe I want to see it go splat!

This doesn't do infect damage because it's Fling that's doing the damage, not the creature.

Fling is a fairly innocuous card until it's put into a deck that's meant to abuse it. The obvious choice is with Abyssal Persecutor, but for the truly wild, there's Ajani Goldmane. Few victories are more stunning and ridiculous than flinging Ajani's avatar token.
