Day of Judgment
Doubling Season
Gilder Bairn
Kresh the Bloodbraided
Paradise Mantle
Spider Umbra (2x)
Sword of Vengeance
Training Grounds
Have the Aura, Spider Umbra, attached to both Kresh the Bloodbraided and Gilder Bairn. Have Kresh the Bloodbraided equipped with Sword of Vengeance while having Gilder Bairn equipped with Paradise Mantle. Before pulling this combo off, make sure you also control a Doubling Season. Can Brave the Elements block this?

They should have a substitute of Damnation since white got their replacement. Still isn't bad. Every thing dies. Sure they can regenerate but few creatures do it unless you can make them do it. Glad they took off regenerate since making things unable to regenerate is a black-type ability.
I have an extended deck using 4 wraths, 4 day, and 4 damnations. It's nice when you play wither with WB. So many possibilities. I got ways to get all my creatures back in one go. How about you?

As long as this card is in standard, the control formula of "walkers and wrath" will continue to be. The fact that Planeswalkers stick to the board through this makes the spell entirely one-sided instead of it being a "reset button." In my humble opinion, it makes Standard a lot more boring; you can ONLY build decks that can work with or around DoJ.

I can't wait for DoJ to eventually cycle out (if ever). When it does it will drop in price, and hopefully tight-wads like me will finally be able to get a play-set of decent m^ss removal for only a few bucks (since few people from Type I will want it compared to WoG).

I'm still very upset that this replaced wrath of god (probably for political reasons, which makes it even sadder). Strangely, white/blue control has been running less and less of these as time goes by. That's fine with me. I feel like such a sissy playing with wrath lite.

It's a pity. I really liked Sorin's flavour text, although this has a certain beautiful simplicity. Ah, well, it's still a great card, and the ability of creatures to regenerate out of it isn't much relevant these days.

Serano4545- nope. Protection from X means it can't be targeted by, enchanted by, damaged by, or blocked by X. Because DoJ does none of those, it effect goes through.

Just a question, not sure if it will work? Could you drop Day of Judgment, then cast Ethersworn Shieldmage as an instant, because of flash, and protect all your artifact creatures from destruction? I've been experimenting with an artifact deck and this might be a solution.
