I see very little use for this outside of a Worldslayer deck or a myr deck. In the current environment, it's way too easy to kill an indestructible creature this small, but in non-standard formats, once infect stops being played much, this is going to be one heck of an annoying wall. I guess that could be said in its favor.

Low cost indestructible creature. Makes the built-in-effect more accessible. Would have loved for it to have more P/T, but who wouldn't.

Why is this rated lower than sentinel? I mean I understand situational drawbacks, especially with how big infect is right now, but in non-standard formats it seems decent enough.

I use this with my Myr Galvanizer Prototype Portal combo. I works perfectly. Sure, it can be infected, but that's why I have a substitute to all of my indestructible cards in my sideboard.

Could be a bit better, but in any case, the ultimate chump blocker. Whta coul be more annoying than not being able to hit your opponent with you evil little 45/45 deathtouch first strike just because your opponent hase a 0/1 out?

A cheap repeatable target for Hoard-Smelter Dragon?

Darksteel myr + 4 Myr galvanizers = a 4/5 indestructible. Having at least 1 myr reservoir on the field can get you any galvanizers you lose due to removal or combat. This card is a lot better than people give it credit for, at least in my myr deck it is.

According to Mark Rosewater, this was supposed to cost only 1!
Why ruin nice things development?
