I used to really hate playing against those obnoxious Eldrazi decks... until this card came around. Now I just sit on this and Quicksilver Gargantuan and let them ramp themselves into an easy loss.

This and Leyline of Anticipation for massive headache. And horrible practicality. At least it works against creature-less decks

Quote: Troutz 9/25/2010 When I Mind Control something, I like to imagine myself standing on the creature's shoulder (like in the M11 art) giving it orders. When I play this card, I'm going to be imagining myself riding on Jace, the Mind Sculptor's back hitting him with a club repeatedly yelling "BRAINSTORM! BRAINSTORM! BRAINSTORM!"
I signed in just to fivestar this.

I would enjoy a 'steal' spell that steals equipments and auras as well.

Can this enchant creatures that cannot be the target of spells or abilities?

That is exactly what I said but I didnt feel like arguing with the other player. Thank you for officially clearing that up for me.

@Cheza: You realize that Equipments are permanents right? Auras raise a bit more of an issue though. Of course, if you take control of a permanent that has an aura or auras attached to it, the auras remain attached, you just don't control them. :)

@Troutz: And now if I ever play one, that's all I'll be able to imagine. Poor Jace. =P

@TLD: Speaking of Permanent-stealing aura, there is even Dream Leash that, while a little harder to use is also the cheapest...
While Confiscate is easier to play in a 2-3 color deck, I think that I would play this one in a mono-U control or a Ux deck rather than Confiscate. Both good cards nonetheless! As a nice note about Confiscate, is that it first tried the "You control enchanted permanent", being perfectly balanced in a block where reigned the broke-ness, and a long before they tried again this mechanism...!
I think that both are 5/5, along with Take Possession and Dream Leash.

@panduh
I'm no rules expert but
303.4a An Aura spell requires a target, which is restricted by its enchant ability.
I assume that means it targets and can't affect hexproof/shroud
