You've advanced past "new player" status when you recognize that this is one of the best cards ever printed. Not top 20, but definitely up there.

Savage. Pure awesomeness. Evil the art. Look at Death Grasp next. More of that fight is in Suppress.

Why is this rated only 0.001 better than Dark Confidant? You lose 1 life, no matter how big or how small the card is, AND you don't have to reaveal it! I mean, I can understand it being hard to kill, especially in black, but by the time you're at a low enough life in suicide black, the opponent should be dead!

NOT better than Dark Confidant. Bob has a 2/1 body that can beat or chump or trade if needed, comes out a turn earlier, for less B commitment, and can be more easily removed than an enchantment if the damage becomes too risky. Plus, most decks running him take an average of 1 damage each turn anyway. Not to say that Dark Confidant is necessarily better than this, but there's definitely not a clear winner.

Such sick card advantage. And guess what? If T2 was an Ajani's Mantra, they might as well concede unless they have enchantment hate.
