Very easy for this to help opponents more than it helps you.....esp since you can't choose when to play it. no thanks. way too unpredictable to include in my scheme deck

Theres this guy in my playgroup known as Joe... he likes to play Furnace of Rath as soon as he gets the mana to do it, and ends up dieing on that very turn before he gets to use it. This is a great scheme for him.

A scheme that doubles all the damage my opponents deal me? Yeah, you know, um, I think I don't want to flip this one over.

Yeah, WotC kinda missed one key element in some of their Schemes. While double-edged sword cards (like the Furnace of Rath this is based on) can be used to great effect, they depend entirely on being played at the right time. Anyone even marginally familiar with the rules of Archenemy should realize the problem here.

Yeah, this came up for me when I was archenemy. I did an alpha swing, they fogged, then I proceded to take a ridiculous amount of damage. Hooray?

This is a risky scheme. It's been the death sentence for the archenemy in a lot of games I've played.

One important thing that people seem to be overlooking about this card is that the dragon in the picture is farting out a rainbow. 5/5

Why didn't it just limit it to sources you control????

Cooties is right. Looks like Mustafar.

However, supposing you already had an Avatar of Slaughter out?

meh....this type of card really needs to go in a Boros deck:

white can help search for your suicidal enchantments...

and white REALLY wants to give you lifelink so you can, you know, not kill yourself.
