"One Ring to rule them all,
One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them."
J.R.R. Tokien said it best. This ring is definitely a monster. Paying mana to produce . You basically rampant growth on Turn 1, yes that just happened. If you have 2 Sol Rings in your opening hand, the game has just become out of reach for your opponent, just have a 5 mana lead to their 1 mana. Its basically like a quadruple stone rain. I don't know how anyone can give this less than a 4.5, simply amazing card.

So in order to make one of these you need to trap light from a distant star into a ring of pure gold. And this complex craft is no longer known by current artificers. And the thing costs {1}. Being the most overpowered mana rock in the game aside, I like the flavor text but it just doesn't fit this card.

I really thought this art was spectacular; I'm glad the card has found a home in EDH where it previously was a card too powerful for most casual settings and too expensive for most to run it as a vintage only card (as most things in vintage are scary expensive.)
