Run next to any equipment that grants trample (how about o-naginata? Trinket Mage can grab that for you by the way) and you have an easier to run Darksteel Colossus. If built right, a deck like this doesn't suffer from the card disadvantage and can utilize proliferate as another means to quicken this.
Energy Chamber and Throne of Geth are on curve examples.

@TheWrathofShane: Give it trample and I'd agree. A 9/9 Golem that can get blocked by a 1/1 Suntail Hawk doesn't seem very "epic" or "mythic" to me :P
It does reek of flavor though, which is why I love Vividice's idea of running it in the "Assemble the Doomsday Machine" Archenemy deck. (Archenemy is totally the most fun I've ever had in a game of multiplayer Magic by the way - I really hope Wizards'll print more support for it!)

Turn 2 coretapper into this turn 3 is great, it lets you get a 9/9 out turn 3. Far too slow without outside counters.

i have a friend he was new and just got a deck from scars of mirrodin block this was in the booster in Friday night magic i was helping him the guys used a discard spell this was in his hand i begged him "dude don't discard that its really good"... guess what happened next
